Senior Project Manager Greenfield Industrial Project

About the Role

Sika is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a significant strategic investment in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role, based in Riyadh, involves the construction of a new manufacturing facility and the consolidation of existing operations. The Project Manager will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from concept and design through construction, commissioning, start-up, and final handover, ensuring delivery safely, on time, and within budget, in accordance with Sika’s global standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, engineering, execution, and delivery of greenfield industrial construction and site consolidation projects.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and resource plans.
• Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables in alignment with business requirements.
• Coordinate activities across multidisciplinary teams including engineering, operations, procurement, finance, HSE, and quality functions.
• Manage all construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, technical specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project progress against schedule, budget, and quality objectives, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Oversee contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring contractual obligations, quality standards, and timelines are achieved.
• Implement robust project controls covering planning, scheduling, cost control, reporting, and risk management.
• Lead plant commissioning, start-up, testing, and operational readiness activities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external project stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities.
• Ensure full compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations, permitting requirements, industry standards, and Sika policies.
• Promote and maintain a strong Safety, Health, Environment, and Sustainability (HSES) culture throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a Project Manager with over 10 years in industrial construction, specifically greenfield projects.
• Strong technical expertise in industrial construction.
• Demonstrated capabilities in managing full project lifecycles from concept to handover.
• Experience in managing project changes, claims, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Familiarity with project governance and reporting across all project phases.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders effectively.
