About the Role

Hays is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for a contract position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role requires a professional with substantial experience in QA methodologies and automation to ensure the quality and reliability of software systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA automation frameworks.
• Conduct API testing and performance testing using industry-standard tools.
• Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities in systems.
• Test microservices and distributed systems to ensure robust functionality.
• Integrate QA processes within CI/CD pipelines.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of QA experience.
• Strong background in QA Automation Frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience with at least one of the following languages: Go, C++, or Rust.
• Strong experience in API Testing.
• Experience testing Microservices and Distributed Systems.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright.
• Experience with Postman.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience in Performance Testing using tools such as k6 or JMeter.
• Experience with Security Testing tools such as OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, SAST / DAST.
• Experience with SonarQube Quality Gates.
• Strong understanding of SIT, FAT, and UAT.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience working in highly regulated or secure environments.
• Experience with air-gapped/on-premise infrastructure.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
