The Opportunity

Gleeds is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This contract role involves supporting a number of iconic programs across the Kingdom. The position is suitable for MRICS qualified professionals with a focus on pre-contract services, looking to develop their career within a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-contract cost management services from concept design through detailed design.
• Manage commissions to ensure high-quality services and deliverables, adhering to Gleeds procedures.
• Engage positively with clients and develop, grow, and maintain client relationships.
• Perform cost planning and estimating.
• Conduct value engineering.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities.
• Advise on and implement procurement strategies.
• Prepare tender documentation and manage the tender process, including designing tender marking schemes.
• Produce and present reports to clients.
• Advise Directors promptly on any project-related issues that have arisen or may arise.

Candidate Requirements

• Over 10 years of post-graduate experience in all aspects of quantity surveying.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Saudi Arabia.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with a consultancy organization.
• Experience with building projects and major mixed-use developments.
• Sound knowledge and practical experience in pre-contract cost management.
• Practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Possession of a transferable Iqama.
