The Role: Senior Specialist - Finance

Red Sea Global is seeking a Senior Specialist - Finance to join the team in Riyadh. This full-time position is integral to supporting finance operations by ensuring accurate accounting records, processing financial transactions, preparing reconciliations, and assisting in financial reporting activities. The role operates within a multi-entity finance environment, requiring coordination with various internal departments and central finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and monitor daily financial transactions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) entries.
  • Support daily finance operations activities and assist in maintaining accurate accounting records and financial data.
  • Support the preparation of reconciliations and financial reports, ensuring adherence to IFRS guidelines and internal control requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, central finance, and tax teams on finance-related matters and audit requirements.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing and reporting activities, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of financial information.
  • Ensure proper documentation and supporting records for all financial transactions.
  • Comply with company health, safety, and environmental policies, and ensure finance activities align with organizational controls and risk management.
  • Contribute to finance process improvement initiatives, supporting automation and efficiency enhancements within finance operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and operational effectiveness, participating in implementing best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • SOCPA Certified and CPA / CMA / ACCA or equivalent professional qualification (preferred).
  • Experience in reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis (preferred).
  • Exposure to ERP systems and intercompany accounting (an advantage).

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in reporting and reconciliation functions.
  • Basic understanding of VAT and WHT requirements.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting processes.

Operational Context and Expectations

The Senior Specialist - Finance will operate in a dynamic, multi-entity finance environment, requiring strong coordination skills with various internal departments and central finance teams. The role demands strict adherence to company finance policies, procedures, accounting standards, and internal controls. Candidates should be prepared for an increased workload during month-end and year-end closing cycles to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
