About the Role

The Environment Fund (صندوق البيئة), located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dedicated Senior Specialist Grants. This full-time position is integral to supporting the Grants team in overseeing various grants activities. The role focuses on ensuring the effective delivery of the Fund’s mandates and actively identifying opportunities for improvement that will contribute to the overall success and impact of the Grants program.

Role Purpose and Objectives

This position plays a crucial part in the strategic and operational aspects of grants management. The Senior Specialist will assist in the development, implementation, and management of grants programs, with a focus on evaluating their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments to maximize their positive impact. A core objective is to ensure that all grants initiatives align seamlessly with the national environmental strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation, and comprehensive management of grants programs.
• Assist in the evaluation of program effectiveness and propose adjustments to enhance impact.
• Contribute to the execution of products derived from grants programs and actively facilitate EF partnerships.
• Provide specific inputs to the design and implementation of the Strategy and Partnerships Division’s strategy and roadmap.

Policy, Compliance, and Operational Excellence

• Propose improvements to the Grants Department's policies and ensure the rigorous implementation of procedures and controls across all areas of activity.
• Collaborate with the organizational excellence team to ensure all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled, while delivering high-quality and cost-effective results.
• Support the Grants Department team in following day-to-day activities to ensure strict compliance with stipulated policies and procedures.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration

• Help foster and maintain relationships and partnerships with various government and private entities to leverage resources effectively.
• Support collaboration with relevant external entities to ensure grants initiatives are aligned with the national environmental strategy.
• Assist the team in building and sustaining solid relations with key external stakeholders.

Required Experience
