Role Overview

Ma'aden is seeking a Senior Specialist, Laboratory Technician to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to driving high-impact outcomes within Mining & Minerals Processing. The Senior Specialist will execute specialized laboratory and technical activities that support innovation initiatives, process improvements, and operational performance. This position contributes directly to Ma'aden’s Technology & Innovation strategy by enabling accurate testing, analysis, and technical insights to support process development and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive laboratory testing, experiments, and sample analysis, ensuring adherence to defined procedures, standards, and proper sample handling.
• Provide essential process support and technical execution by assisting R&D and pilot testing programs and delivering accurate, timely test results for process optimization.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are functional, safe, and compliant with operational requirements and safety practices.
• Conduct thorough data analysis, identify trends and anomalies, and prepare detailed reports for technical and operational stakeholders, maintaining robust documentation.
• Ensure strict compliance with laboratory safety standards, environmental policies, operational procedures, quality control protocols, and support audits for regulatory adherence.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance laboratory processes, testing methodologies, and efficiency, and support the implementation of best practices and new technologies.
• Foster collaboration with metallurgists, engineers, and technical teams, sharing knowledge and insights to support integrated delivery, decision-making, and knowledge management.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in laboratory operations, particularly within the mining or minerals processing industry. A strong foundation in laboratory testing methodologies, equipment operation, data analysis, and quality control is essential for success in this position.

This full-time position is based in Riyadh. The role involves working within a dynamic team environment, requiring close collaboration with various technical and operational departments to achieve integrated project goals and support strategic initiatives.
