About the Role

InnovationTeam is seeking a Senior System Analyst to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position for a professional with 5 to 10 years of experience in systems analysis. The role involves bridging various stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements for a large-scale digital integration program.

Role Context and Purpose

The Senior System Analyst will serve as a crucial link between business stakeholders, project leadership, architects, and delivery teams. The primary objective is to translate business, operational, and regulatory requirements into clear functional and technical specifications across integration services, event streaming, the developer portal, reporting, and operations. This role also includes coordinating interface requirements with the AI engineering workstream, while AI model design, development, and training remain outside its direct scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyze, validate, and trace functional and non-functional requirements for the non-AI project scope.
• Produce BRDs, SRS, functional and technical specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, interface requirements, data mappings, and analysis documents for integration services and event topics.
• Document current- and future-state processes, gap analyses, workflows, sequence diagrams, system interactions, APIs, integration mappings, and data flows.
• Maintain traceability, backlog readiness, change requests, priorities, dependencies, and alignment with security, data, service-level, and technical governance requirements.
• Define acceptance criteria and test scenarios; collaborate with QA on integration, performance, and UAT activities; and verify delivered services against approved requirements.
• Work with integration, portal, event-streaming, operations, cybersecurity, data-governance, and AI teams; define AI-related interfaces and data requirements without owning AI model design, development, or training; and support handover and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Analysis or Business Systems Analysis, including enterprise integration or digital transformation projects.
• Strong expertise in requirements engineering, stakeholder facilitation, functional and non-functional analysis, traceability, and change management.
• Hands-on experience with requirements, backlog, and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and MS Visio (or similar).
• Deep understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum delivery, including documentation, testing, UAT, and release-readiness activities.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Strong working knowledge of APIs, web services, system interfaces, data mapping, integration patterns, and event-driven systems.
• Practical knowledge of databases, SQL, JSON, XML, interface specifications, and secure system-integration concepts.
• Native Arabic speaker with excellent English fluency (written and spoken).
• Ability to explain complex system behavior, dependencies, and technical requirements clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex requirements, identify gaps, and support viable system solutions.
• Proven ability to work across business, architecture, development, QA, operations, security, data, and AI workstreams.
• High attention to detail, clear ownership of requirements, and commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred: Exposure to IBM App Connect, API Connect, DataPower, MQ, Kafka/Confluent, developer portals, Instana, or Kibana.
• Familiarity: With KSA digital transformation, cybersecurity, data-governance, and regulatory environments is a strong plus.
