Senior Technical Lead

About the Role

Link x Talent is seeking a Senior Technical Lead for a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves owning end-to-end delivery, architecture, and code quality for assigned product areas within a client's shared microservices platform. The Senior Technical Lead will manage cross-functional teams and represent their product areas in platform-wide architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a squad of 5–10 engineers (backend, frontend, mobile) across assigned product areas, overseeing sprint planning, design reviews, PR reviews, 1:1s, and performance management.
• Own architectural decisions within your product areas and collaborate with other Tech Leads and the Head of Technology on platform-wide concerns such as shared authentication, common backend, mobile application, and analytics pipeline.
• Establish and enforce engineering quality standards, including PR review guidelines, branching and cherry-pick discipline between QA and production, test coverage, migration safety, and incident response protocols.
• Drive the conversion of product requirements into a technical roadmap, involving work breakdown, estimation, sequencing, and deployment.
• Contribute hands-on by writing code on critical paths, unblocking team members, prototyping risky changes, and deploying hotfixes.
• Manage incident response for production issues within your product areas, conducting root-cause analysis, post-mortems, and implementing prevention strategies.

Required Experience and Technical Expertise

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in building production web platforms, with at least 2 years leading engineering teams.
• Proficiency with NestJS monorepos, including multiple applications per service sharing typed libraries.
• Experience with **** App Router, server components, ISR/SSR, and dynamic routes.
• Strong command of TypeScript end-to-end (strict mode) and modern React (hooks, MUI, Tailwind).
• Expertise in PostgreSQL at scale, covering schema design, indexing, query optimization, Sequelize ORM, and migration discipline.
• Experience with search platforms such as Azure AI Search (scoring profiles, semantic configurations, synonym maps) and/or Elasticsearch (mappings, aggregations, dashboards).
• Proficiency with the Azure application platform, including Container Apps, App Services, Function Apps, Service Bus, Storage Blob, and Front Door.
• Experience with CI/CD on Azure DevOps Pipelines, covering build processes, ACR push, container app updates, and cherry-pick workflows for promoting QA to production.
• Integration experience with AI technologies, specifically Azure OpenAI (chat, embeddings), prompt design, structured JSON response_format, retries, and fallbacks.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with marketplace or multi-vertical platform development.
• Proficiency in mobile app delivery (Flutter or React Native) for both Android and iOS.
• Familiarity with BullMQ or other queue-based asynchronous processing systems.
• Knowledge of multi-tenant, B2B subscription, or quota systems.
• Experience with regional payment integrations.
• Familiarity with moderation systems (*, Implio).
• Experience with ERP integration (*, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Knowledge of third-party ATS or recruitment integrations (*, Zoho Recruit).
• Familiarity with Azure Cosmos DB for PostgreSQL for distributed workloads.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position where you will lead a cross-functional team of full-stack developers (backend, frontend, and mobile) across multiple product areas. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
