The Role

Environment Icon (EI) is seeking an Architectural Site Engineer with experience in interior fit-out projects. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all architectural site activities, ensuring work aligns with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily architectural fit-out activities on-site, including partitions, gypsum ceilings, flooring, tiling, painting, joinery, doors, glazing, and finishing works.
• Ensure all site activities comply with approved shop drawings, material submittals, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, MEP engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Review architectural drawings and identify discrepancies or technical issues before and during execution.
• Monitor site progress and ensure work is completed according to the approved project schedule.
• Manage subcontractors and site workers to ensure productivity, workmanship, and timely completion.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards and approved materials.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, manpower records, and site photographs.
• Coordinate material requirements with the procurement team and ensure materials are available according to the project schedule.
• Identify site issues, propose practical solutions, and escalate technical or scheduling concerns to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and clients and ensure timely closure of comments and snags.
• Ensure proper implementation of health, safety, and housekeeping requirements on-site.
• Monitor quantities and report any additional works, variations, or discrepancies between approved drawings and actual site conditions.
• Ensure proper documentation of site instructions, RFIs, inspections, and other project-related records.

Performance Expectations

• Achieve planned daily and weekly site progress.
• Maintain high-quality execution and minimize rework.
• Ensure timely coordination of materials, subcontractors, and inspections.
• Provide accurate and timely daily site reports.
• Close snags and consultant comments within agreed deadlines.
• Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager and all project stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified and detail-oriented Architectural Site Engineer.
• Strong experience in interior fit-out projects.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience.
