About the Site Engineer Role

UCC Holding is seeking a Site Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to contribute to project objectives through effective planning, execution, and oversight.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Site Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful accomplishment of project objectives. This involves meticulous planning and scheduling, efficient resource allocation and management, diligent cost control, and providing technical direction. The role also requires strict adherence to quality standards and procedures, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of construction operations.

  • Assist in project planning, including site layout, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Supervise on-site activities, monitoring progress, ensuring quality control, and verifying adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate a smooth workflow and resolve any arising issues or conflicts.
  • Manage the procurement, delivery, and storage of materials and equipment, ensuring adequate supply and timely delivery.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure work meets project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to workers and subcontractors, addressing technical challenges or queries related to operational activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of operational activities, including progress reports, site records, and as-built drawings.
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulations on-site, conducting regular safety inspections, and implementing corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Monitor project costs and expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing cost-effective solutions.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and project stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing concerns.
  • Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a comprehensive understanding of construction techniques, methods, and materials used in building projects, including structural design. Proficiency in using construction-related tools, equipment, and software applications such as AutoCAD, project management software, and surveying instruments is essential. Strong problem-solving skills are required to analyze construction challenges, identify solutions, and make timely decisions. Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards, is necessary for enforcing safety protocols and conducting risk assessments. Effective communication skills are vital for liaising with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and construction workers. ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is a requirement for this position.
