Hala, a leading fintech player in the MENAP region, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the stability and performance of the company's financial and technological solutions. Hala aims to empower SMEs by providing cutting-edge tools, operating with multiple entities across UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, and is licensed by the Saudi Arabian Central Bank.

Role Overview

The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for maintaining the reliability, availability, performance, and scalability of Hala's infrastructure and applications. This involves a focus on automating operations, managing cloud and Kubernetes environments, and ensuring robust CI/CD pipelines. The SRE will work closely with development teams to build resilient, secure, and efficient platforms that support continuous delivery and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Run the cloud environment by monitoring availability and system health.
• Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications.
• Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of software solutions.
• Measure and optimize system performance.
• Provide primary operational support and engineering for large, distributed software applications.
• Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems and applications for performance tuning and fault finding.
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
• Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts.
• Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives.
• Deploy updates and fixes.
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience.
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues.
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar technical field.
