The Role of Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at Rasēd in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable services and platforms. These systems are critical for powering Rasēd’s fraud-detection, transaction-monitoring, and risk-decisioning products within a regulated financial environment. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that support Rasēd’s fraud-detection, transaction-monitoring, and risk-scoring workflows.
• Implement reliable, testable, and scalable code using languages such as Java and .NET, adhering to modern software development practices and code review standards.
• Collaborate with data science, product, and compliance teams to translate fraud models, AML/KYC rules, and risk policies into production-ready services and decision engines.
• Design and maintain data architectures, including data pipelines, databases, and messaging systems, to support high-volume financial transactions and fraud analytics.
• Integrate third-party AML/KYC, sanctions screening, and fraud platforms, as well as internal risk tools, into Rasēd’s ecosystem.
• Build monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for fraud-related services to ensure high availability, observability, and rapid incident response.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions to contribute to the continuous improvement of Rasēd’s platform.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, deliver technical solutions, and support deployments in production environments.
• Stay informed about new technologies in fraud detection, AI/ML, and software engineering, and propose improvements to Rasēd’s products and engineering practices.

Experience and Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in developing backend services and APIs.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java or .NET.
• Familiarity with modern software development practices and code review processes.
• Understanding of data architectures, including data pipelines, databases, and messaging systems.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a dynamic team that collaborates across data science, product, and compliance functions.
