About the Specialist, Business Planning Role

alfanar is seeking a Specialist, Business Planning to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on supporting strategic initiatives and projects through robust planning, coordination, and performance monitoring to achieve organizational objectives.

Role Purpose and Support

The Specialist, Business Planning will provide essential support in the planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of strategic initiatives and projects. This involves maintaining planning frameworks, tracking performance, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and delivering timely insights to enable effective decision-making and the successful achievement of organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and refinement of business planning methodologies, tools, templates, and processes, integrating local business requirements as needed.
  • Maintain planning documentation, templates, and reporting tools to ensure consistency and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning frameworks and practices through analysis and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Assist in reviewing project schedules, business plans, and related documentation for alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking key milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Monitor progress against approved plans, identifying potential risks, issues, or deviations, and escalating concerns to management.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to support the timely resolution of planning and execution issues.
  • Track and report on action items, ensuring follow-up and closure within agreed timelines.
  • Facilitate effective communication and information flow among internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, meeting materials, and status updates for management and stakeholders.
  • Consolidate project and business performance data from multiple sources for accurate reporting.
  • Monitor compliance with established planning processes, governance requirements, and organizational standards.
  • Maintain project and business planning records, ensuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Analyze performance metrics and trends to support decision-making and improvement initiatives.

Role Accountabilities

  • HR Proficiency: Acquire updated soft and technical skills relevant to the job.
  • Delivery: Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets within delivery schedules, utilizing resources efficiently. Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.
  • Problem-Solving: Address related problems and escalate complex operational issues.
  • Quality: Ensure quality requirements are met by developing effective quality control processes and specifications.
  • Business Process Improvements: Coordinate well-defined systems, policies, and procedures, and identify automation opportunities.
  • Compliance: Adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in business planning, project coordination, or a related field. A strong understanding of planning methodologies and performance monitoring is essential.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
