About the Role

Amazon is seeking a Sr Regional Pre construction GES to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the delivery of pre-construction (engineering design) phases for significant Customer Fulfillment (FC), delivery station (AMZL), sort center (SC), and quick commerce projects and conversions across AMET countries. The position manages an annual investment portfolio exceeding USD 1 billion, driving projects from site selection through construction readiness to meet Plan of Record requirements for timeline, quality, and financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction activities including site selection, site evaluation, budget estimation, concept design, schematic design, and detail design for complex projects.
• Partner with Design & Construction stakeholders and Real Estate teams to develop construction and site strategies that achieve optimal quality and business outcomes.
• Identify process improvements, analyze design conflicts, evaluate resources, and predict and mitigate risks throughout the pre-construction phase.
• Assess complex situations requiring leadership visibility and involvement, applying sound judgment to navigate decisions and determine appropriate escalation paths.
• Lead and drive cross-functional teams to deliver results and execute project deliverables independently, participating in and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply analytical skills to navigate local regulations and customer requirements, challenging current practices and developing innovative solutions.
• Create and own written communications to business partners and stakeholders on pre-construction matters, building collaborative and influential relationships.
• Troubleshoot issues independently and drive them to closure with minimal supervision, navigating internal and external barriers while managing multicultural teams.
• Travel up to 50% across the AMET region to support site evaluations and provide construction oversight during critical project phases.

Project Scope and Strategic Impact

This role is responsible for projects ranging from 6,000 to 1,000,000 square feet. It involves building a robust 3+ year pipeline to anticipate future capacity needs and reduces business risk by analyzing and developing projects that define the next generation of high-performing fulfillment centers across AMET. Working at the intersection of real estate, design, and construction, the Sr Regional Pre construction GES evaluates opportunities, influences strategic decisions, and establishes the foundation for successful project execution. The position offers significant impact on AMET's infrastructure growth and contributes to developing future leaders by identifying and coaching talent within the team.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in construction or engineering project management, real estate development, or architecture/design.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent engineering science.
• 15+ years of experience in construction management, pre-construction management, or related disciplines with progressive leadership responsibility.
• 10+ years leading development and pre-construction activities for logistics facilities, warehouses, industrial facilities, and/or critical infrastructure projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
