The Role: Sr Sales Trainer Diabetes MEA

This full-time position, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is an opportunity to join the EMEA Commercial & Sales Training team. The Sr Sales Trainer Diabetes MEA will focus on enhancing commercial performance throughout the MEA region. This role is responsible for delivering and continuously refining impactful training solutions that strengthen the capabilities of Sales representatives and Sales Managers. The incumbent will collaborate with Country Commercial Leads, Marketing, Sales Operations, subject-matter experts, and cross-functional project leads to ensure effective implementation of training initiatives at the local market level, promoting behavioural change and sales excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with MEA Commercial leaders to define training priorities through needs assessments, identifying capability gaps and aligning enablement initiatives to commercial strategy and performance goals.
  • Design and refresh core curriculum (onboarding, product, clinical, competitive and selling skills) in partnership with subject-matter experts for the MEA region.
  • Deliver instructor-led, virtual and blended learning experiences that build consistent selling behaviours aligned to the commercial strategy.
  • Reinforce learning through field coaching (ride-alongs), observation, role plays and structured feedback aligned to defined competency models.
  • Create training and enablement plans, materials and facilitator guides; produce clear status updates, insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
  • Measure effectiveness of programs using agreed metrics (knowledge checks, certification, field observation, performance trends) and implement continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate with MEA leadership and EMEA Training peers to ensure consistent standards, localisation where needed and alignment to EMEA training strategy.
  • Maintain expertise in adult learning principles, facilitation, digital learning tools, and coaching methodologies; recommend the best delivery approach for each audience and objective.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 5 – 8 years of related experience, with at least 5+ years in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical field sales training, enablement, or commercial excellence.
  • Experience supporting both primary and secondary care teams within the diabetes segment is considered a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess capability needs, design learning solutions, and drive field adoption through coaching and reinforcement.
  • Strong business acumen and experience operating in a regulated healthcare / medical device environment within the MEA region.
  • Ability to accelerate time-to-proficiency for new product launches and innovations across the region.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and with diplomacy across cultures and levels of seniority.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills across in-person and virtual settings.
  • Ability to influence sustained behaviour change, evidenced through observed selling behaviours.
  • Strong understanding and proficiency with learning technologies, including LMS platforms, CRM systems (*, Salesforce), and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau); advanced Excel skills are preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, KPIs, and strategic enablement frameworks, including selling methodologies and manager coaching models.
  • Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills.

Work Environment and Benefits

This role requires 50 to 75% travel. The primary location will be a home office, with no assigned workstation, and requires living within commuting distance (typically 75 miles/120km) of an assigned Dexcom site.
