About the Role: Sr Specialist I, Procurement - DS

Tasnee is seeking a Sr Specialist I, Procurement - DS to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position reports directly to the Manager, Procurement Operation DS, focusing on enhancing procurement efficiency and effectiveness within the department.

Role Purpose and Key Focus Areas

The primary purpose of this role is to conduct comprehensive data analysis for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) and Consumables procurement. The specialist will analyze data from various perspectives to drive improvements in efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost savings. Key activities include active participation in sourcing, tendering, and administration for diverse MRO contracts, ensuring strict adherence to company policies and procedures. The role also involves contributing to system automation by establishing outline agreements in SAP to maximize coverage of MRO items under release orders. Furthermore, the specialist acts as a crucial liaison between the company and its vendors, managing sourcing, contract negotiation, and presenting agreements for final approval. Maintaining up-to-date material management and data quality through data cleansing projects is also a core responsibility.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support through data analysis related to market trends, vendor and supply management, and procurement status to inform decision-making.
• Report departmental savings to management on a regular basis.
• Assist in identifying potential new suppliers using existing Tasnee databases and market research.
• Monitor supplier conformance with contracts to maintain supplier quality.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and end-users to achieve competitive costs and timely delivery for purchased items.
• Communicate with vendors, internal customers, and other relevant parties to facilitate information exchange and feedback for procurement processes.
• Contribute to the preparation, processing, and compilation of Requests for Proposal (RFQs/RFPs) to invite suppliers in line with internal customer requirements.
• Review bids from Tenders and RFPs, and jointly with end-user departments, conduct analysis and make initial recommendations for appropriate spend levels.
• Participate in data cleansing projects to ensure data quality.
• Contribute to system automation and increase the number of items covered by outline agreements.
• Monitor contract terms and conditions and coordinate the approval of amendments as required.
• Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and delays, and formulate catch-up plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold business ethics.
• Troubleshoot common issues on PCs/laptops/printers and M365 (Outlook/Teams).
• Capture clear ticket notes and simple reports (SLA, FCR, CSAT).

Qualifications and Experience

• University graduate from any discipline or a diploma holder.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
• Professional qualifications in purchasing are considered an advantage.
