About the Role

alfanar is seeking a Sr. Consultant, Functional SAP MDG to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is integral to ensuring an effective Master Data Governance (MDG) product that supports alfanar’s global data strategy. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality, compliant, and well-integrated master data across various systems, thereby enabling consistent, secure, and reliable data for all enterprise operations.

Strategic Data Governance

The Sr. Consultant will drive the strategic direction and governance of master data within the organization. Key responsibilities include:

• Defining the product roadmap for enterprise data governance tools, such as Pilog and SAP MDG, ensuring alignment with global data strategy and business objectives.
• Owning the end-to-end MDG product lifecycle, which involves implementing governance rules, workflows, validations, and controls as per business owner decisions.
• Ensuring adherence to critical data governance frameworks and regulations, including GDPR, SOX, internal policies, ISO, and DAMA.
• Managing the delivery of MDG product features, enhancements, and integrations on time, with a focus on continuous improvements and innovation.

Data Management and Integration

This role is responsible for the technical and operational aspects of master data management and integration across alfanar's ecosystem:

• Overseeing integration with SAP S/4HANA, Data Dictionary, APIs, data services, and legacy systems to ensure seamless compatibility.
• Recommending and implementing data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment initiatives, in partnership with data stewards, to maintain high-quality master data and qualify the data dictionary.
• Defining the global data migration strategy, mapping rules, and transformation logic, and overseeing cutover and mock tests for global rollouts.
• Acting as a primary liaison between business, IT, and data teams to collect requirements, manage and execute backlog items, and prioritize features effectively.

• Providing periodic reports detailing any deviations and the execution status of planned tasks.
• Solving related problems that arise and escalating complex operational issues when necessary.
• Ensuring quality requirements are met to develop effective quality control and processes, including specifications for products or related activities.
• Coordinating well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, and actively seeking automation opportunities.
• Complying with all related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant functional SAP MDG role.
• Demonstrated expertise in Master Data Governance principles, product lifecycle management, and data quality initiatives.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA integration and enterprise data architecture.
• Proficiency in defining and implementing data migration strategies and governance frameworks.
