About the Role

Solaiman A. ElKhereiji (SAK) Engineering Consultant is seeking a Sr. Landscape Architect to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to overseeing, reviewing, and coordinating landscape design and site implementation on mega construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with approved masterplans, detailed drawings, specifications, and project requirements, bridging design intent with site execution. This position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement landscape design from concept through construction, ensuring alignment with approved vision, regulations, client requirements, and sustainability goals.
• Review and validate landscape masterplans, detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, and planting schedules for compliance and constructability.
• Manage and coordinate landscape work packages throughout design development and construction stages, proactively resolving site and design issues.
• Conduct site analyses to assess environmental, cultural, functional, and operational constraints influencing landscape solutions.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, MEP, Irrigation, BIM, HSE, and QA/QC teams to ensure full interdisciplinary integration.
• Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and samples related to landscape works.
• Respond to RFIs and provide technical clarifications to support site execution and maintain program alignment.
• Prepare technical reports, gap analyses, value engineering proposals, and optimization recommendations to enhance performance and constructability.
• Support CSC inspectors during inspections, snagging, de-snagging, and handover activities.
• Verify progress, quantities, and milestones related to landscape works and contribute to project reporting and as-built documentation.

Design and Technical Control

This role ensures the technical integrity and constructability of landscape designs, including:

• Ensuring alignment between IFC drawings, BIM models, and site installations.
• Identifying design clashes, constructability issues, and proposing technically sound solutions.
• Coordinating revisions and ensuring timely issuance of updated drawings.

Coordination and Reporting Structure

The Sr. Landscape Architect reports to the Landscape Discipline Lead / Resident Engineer and coordinates with CSC inspectors, PMC, client representatives, and contractors. Adherence to CSC reporting lines, approval authorities, and Aconex protocols is required. Key documentation includes:

• RFI responses
• Shop Drawing Review Forms
• MIR / WIR support documentation
• Design Review Comments Logs
• Snag Lists and Handover Punch Lists

Performance Expectations

Key performance indicators for this role include:

• Timely response to RFIs and design clarifications in line with CSC timelines.
• Effective coordination minimizing rework, NCRs, and site delays.
• Clear, actionable, and technically justified review comments.

Experience and Joining Timeline

This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience in landscape architecture, with a focus on large-scale construction projects. The expected joining time for the successful candidate is 1 to 2 weeks.
