About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre is seeking a Staff Nurse I to provide comprehensive nursing care. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and requires 2-5 years of experience. The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process and demonstrating leadership competencies.

Core Responsibilities

The Staff Nurse I is responsible for delivering total patient care according to established standards, policies, and evidence-based practices. This includes assuming accountability for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, as well as discharge planning. The nurse will contribute to reducing patient length of stay and waiting times by collaborating with Case Management.

Patient Care and Safety

Key duties involve accurate, appropriate, and timely documentation of all relevant patient information. The nurse will report equipment failures, safety and security issues, and supply reductions to the Head Nurse or designee. Promoting a safe environment and patient care through a safety culture is essential, along with complying with policies for personal and patient safety and preventing healthcare-associated infections. The role also includes acting as an advocate for patients and families, identifying areas for quality improvement, and contributing to cost efficiency by managing resource utilization.

Team Collaboration and Development

This position requires demonstrating collaborative multi-disciplinary partnerships to achieve constant improvement in quality patient care. The Staff Nurse I will contribute to achieving clinical quality outcome indicators and patient satisfaction, and may lead unit-based Performance Improvement activities. Participation in the orientation of new staff and nursing students is expected, acting as a preceptor or mentor to develop their competence. The nurse will also assist in promoting and sharing knowledge through mentorship, in line with research and evidence-based practice.

Professional Practice and Compliance

The role involves demonstrating transcultural principles in nursing practice and contributing to special projects or assignments linked to nursing strategic priorities and professional practice models. Adherence to all Hospital-related policies and procedures is mandatory. The Staff Nurse I will also participate in self and other's education, training, and development as applicable.
