Thomson Reuters is a global market leader providing content, AI, and software solutions that empower legal and tax professionals with intelligent data and software. The company is seeking a Strategic Account Manager, Legal to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on managing the entire legal solutions portfolio within the MENA region, requiring 5-10 years of relevant experience.
Role Purpose and Scope
The primary objective of this position is to grow and retain revenue while expanding market share for Thomson Reuters' legal content, legal technology, and legal AI solutions within designated strategic accounts and territories. The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities to expand the company's footprint in the region, acting as both a "hunter and farmer" to progress commercial conversations. This involves developing and maintaining high-level client relationships to drive revenue growth, executing territory and account strategies, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver comprehensive product offerings. The role also includes developing key stakeholder communities, both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an expert for legal technology and AI solutions, advising clients to improve work efficiency.
- Sell Thomson Reuters legal solutions to both existing and new clients within the designated territory.
- Maintain deep knowledge of designated accounts, territories, client workflows, and challenges.
- Strategically develop, execute, and maintain a growth-centric business plan, owning the overall strategy for revenue growth.
- Develop a strong, high-level contact network within the designated territory, including C and E level executives and department heads.
- Establish strong, long-term customer relationships and identify new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with key decision-makers.
- Apply knowledge of business and its constituent workflows to conceive and position value-added solutions that promote sales and revenue growth.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline on Salesforce for forecasting and reporting purposes.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge on all products and solutions, serving as a business advisor to promote long-term client relationships and drive overall customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 5-10 years of experience working with corporates, governments, and law firms in MENA markets.
- Strong sales experience, preferably within the legal, regulatory, or SaaS-related fields.
- A legal, technology, or business educational background, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of customers, their business models, and workflows.
- Proven commercial experience in a customer-facing environment.

- Strong relationship-building skills and experience in establishing C-level relationships.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to understand, articulate, structure, and solve client needs.
- Effective presentation and communication skills, capable of delivering presentations and communicating at all levels within an organization.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Self-confidence and comfort working under limited supervision.
- A desire to compete and win business in a team setting.
- A wide contact network across the MENA region is considered an advantage.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within a dynamic environment focused on expanding Thomson Reuters' legal solutions footprint across the MENA region.
