About the Internship

Lean Technologies is seeking a Strategic Finance Intern to join its FP&A team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This internship is designed for individuals early in their finance career, offering direct involvement in forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis that supports leadership decision-making. The intern will own defined pieces of work from end-to-end, with senior team review, contributing to the company's scaling across multiple markets and product lines. This role is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

Role Overview

The Strategic Finance Intern will gain practical experience in understanding how a multi-product fintech operates financially. This position is ideal for someone who proactively builds financial models, is keen to identify numerical shifts before others, and seeks to comprehend the financial mechanics of a growing company.

Key Responsibilities

• Revenue Forecasting: Maintain inputs for the monthly rolling forecast, including pulling actuals, checking against assumptions, and flagging divergences. Build scenario analyses for new market launches or product lines and present findings. Summarize forecast outputs into actionable one-page reports for non-finance leaders.
• Budgeting: Collect and consolidate budget inputs from business units during the annual cycle, ensuring data completeness. Prepare monthly variance analyses versus budget, providing written explanations for the top three drivers. Analyze a specific cost category to identify drivers and propose quantified savings. Test AI-enabled tools for FP&A workflow automation and document outcomes.
• Financial Analysis & Management Reporting: Manage the commercial deals tracker, ensuring accuracy, reconciling with Sales, and identifying deals that pose forecast risks. Prepare assigned sections of the monthly management report. Conduct unit economics or profitability analyses for specific products or client segments. Research potential markets (pricing, competitors, regulation) and present recommendations. Develop inputs and test scenarios for pricing models.

Required Qualifications and Skills
