About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Substation Automation Commissioning Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing essential resources and logistics for service and maintenance activities on customer sites and properties. The specialist will contribute to maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing sold or existing products, encompassing all types of maintenance services, including preventive and corrective, as well as managing maintenance facilities and field technical services. This position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all activities related to testing and validating equipment, installations, or plants in accordance with design objectives or operational use specifications, including performance services and performance tests.
• Expand knowledge within your technical discipline to execute policy and strategy, potentially including support roles in specialized technical knowledge areas, and continuously acquire high-level knowledge and skills.
• Apply a basic understanding of key operational factors to accomplish work, and possess a good understanding of how your team's work integrates with other teams and contributes to the overall area.
• Exercise autonomy in making decisions within a defined framework, solving problems in situations requiring good technical knowledge and judgment according to established procedures. Consult more experienced team members for issues outside defined instructions and/or parameters.
• Develop strong interpersonal skills, with the potential to lead a junior team. For customer-facing aspects, build strong customer relationships and serve as an interface between the customer and GE Vernova, explaining technical information to colleagues.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Basic experience (0-1 years) in a relevant function.
• Knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or a Bachelor's degree with experience in a relevant field.
