About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a Supervisor, Purchasing to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and involves overseeing purchasing operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to company standards and regulations.

Position Summary

The Supervisor, Purchasing will be responsible for organizing necessary documents, summarizing information for distribution, and maintaining current knowledge of company safety programs, including food safety and handling policies. The role ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations within the assigned area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain clear and organized records, ensuring all reports and invoices are properly filed and stored.
• Calculate figures for inventories, orders, and costs, and conduct inventory audits to determine levels and needs.
• Notify management of low stock levels and monitor PAR levels for all food items.
• Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues, oversee the return process, and refuse damaged or incorrect items.
• Verify, track, receive, unload, and process deliveries, reconciling shipping invoices and receiving reports.
• Assist management in training, scheduling, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, maintain a professional appearance, ensure confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Assist other employees to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.
• Communicate professionally and prepare accurate written documents.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Capacity to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a purchasing or related supervisory role. A strong understanding of inventory management, vendor relations, and adherence to safety and quality standards is essential for this position.

This full-time role is based in Riyadh and requires active participation in daily operations, including physical tasks related to receiving and managing inventory.
