About the Role

UCC Holding is seeking a Surveyor (Civil Technician Fresh Diploma Holder) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is ideal for a professional with 0-1 years of experience, providing essential support to our surveying operations across various construction, infrastructure, and land development projects.

Role Purpose

The Surveyor supports the surveying team in executing land and engineering surveys. This role involves assisting with field measurements, operating surveying equipment, collecting and processing survey data, and preparing survey documentation. The primary objective is to ensure the availability of accurate information for project planning, design, and execution, while contributing to high-quality survey services in compliance with company standards and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.

Core Surveying Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up, operating, and calibrating surveying equipment, including Total Stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and digital and automatic levels.
  • Conduct field surveys under supervision, measuring distances, elevations, coordinates, angles, and site features.
  • Collect, record, and verify survey data accurately, adhering to approved surveying procedures and quality standards.
  • Support topographic, boundary, construction, as-built, and control surveys as required by project needs.

Data Management and Equipment Maintenance

  • Assist in processing and analyzing survey data for the preparation of maps, drawings, reports, and other survey deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate field notes, survey records, and documentation.
  • Assist in preparing survey plans, boundary descriptions, and coordinate lists.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of surveying equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Report equipment defects or maintenance requirements promptly.

Collaboration and Compliance

  • Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure survey activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Identify discrepancies in survey measurements and report them to senior surveyors for review and resolution.
  • Ensure all surveying activities comply with project specifications, company procedures, and applicable industry standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of survey data and project documentation.
  • Support the implementation of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, participate in safety meetings, and promptly report hazards, incidents, and near misses.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Geomatics, or a related technical field.
  • 0-1 years of experience in surveying or a related technical role, ideally within construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Basic understanding of surveying principles and equipment operation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
