Technician

About the Role

Johnson Controls Arabia is seeking a skilled Technician to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves the installation, modification, upgrading, maintenance, and repair of products and equipment within industrial or manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, modify, upgrade, maintain, and repair less complex products or equipment.
• Set and achieve daily operational objectives, impacting others within the work area.
• Occasionally set and deliver operational objectives with direct impact on achieving results within the area.
• Explain facts, practices, and policies primarily to internal colleagues.
• Correct or resolve issues and problems in existing systems and processes, including making minor changes.
• Address problems and issues that generally fall within a single job area or discipline, where the scope of the problem is well-defined.

Problem Solving and Knowledge Application

The Technician will frequently address well-defined problems within a single job area. Less often, problems may be vaguely defined, requiring an understanding and consideration of other job areas. This role primarily utilizes specialized knowledge of specific commercial, technical, trades, or office operations. Broad theory and principles within a professional discipline or advanced technical/operational practices are used less frequently.

Required Experience and Skills

• 5-10 years of experience in installing, modifying, upgrading, maintaining, and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve daily operational objectives.
• Proficiency in identifying and resolving issues within existing systems and processes.
• Specialized knowledge in relevant commercial, technical, or trade operations.

Work Environment and Scope

This is an individual contributor role with no direct responsibility for leading others. The application of knowledge is focused domestically, limited to locations within Saudi Arabia or neighboring countries with similar cultural contexts. The position is based in Riyadh and is a full-time opportunity.
