Role Overview

The Therapeutic Area Partner Cardiovascular (TAP) is a full-time, field-based position in Riyadh. This role focuses on scientific exchange, promotion, and enlisting of Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) products within the cardiovascular therapeutic area. The TAP serves as the primary contact for Health Care Professionals (HCPs), aiming to enhance engagement and interact with a broad range of stakeholders, including clinical pharmacists, Echo technicians, and HEOR experts. The position prioritizes the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while achieving performance objectives and upholding company values. A minimum of 90% of the time is expected to be spent in the field engaging with HCPs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote BMS cardiovascular brands through the delivery of scientific messages to Health Care Professionals.
  • Maintain a high level of disease expertise and product knowledge.
  • Understand the treatment landscape, including HCP mapping, and address their information needs.
  • Identify knowledge and care gaps in the territory and implement educational programs for HCPs.
  • Prepare and implement a comprehensive territory plan based on agreed metrics and KPIs.
  • Define and prioritize customer targets through profiling and segmentation.
  • Achieve mutually agreed business objectives by managing customers within distinct segments and executing tailored plans.
  • Build and maintain strong business partnerships with key stakeholders (KOLs, physicians, pharmacists) to position BMS as a strategic partner.
  • Demonstrate deep marketplace, therapeutic, product, and disease expertise.
  • Prepare and present information to HCPs, responding to questions with medical accuracy.
  • Develop account business plans that meet market and customer needs.
  • Support the formulary enlisting process and implement tactical plans for product penetration in coordination with access, medical, and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve customer needs.
  • Collect and provide medical insights to internal teams for strategy development.
  • Understand and develop patient journeys per hospital to identify access barriers and facilitate formulary enlisting.
  • Build strong working relationships with external and internal stakeholders to understand HCP challenges in complex access environments.
  • Deliver scientifically meaningful programs and ensure flawless execution of activities.
  • Support pre-launch and launch activities for new products as needed.
  • Adhere to BMS Standards of Business Conduct and Ethics, ensuring full compliance with laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Saudi National with a valid SCFHS license.
  • Pharmacist with relevant pharmaceutical experience.
  • Recommended to have 3+ years of experience in a multinational pharmaceutical company, including specialty care brands.
  • Cardiovascular experience is strongly preferred.
  • Diversified experience in governmental and private healthcare systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross-functionally and independently.
