About Foodics

Foodics, established in 2014, is a leading restaurant management ecosystem and payment technology provider with headquarters in Riyadh and offices across five countries. The company operates at the intersection of SaaS, fintech, and payments.

Role Overview

Foodics is seeking a commercially minded, analytical, and technology-forward finance leader for the role of VP of FP&A and Investor Relations. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, serves as a strategic partner to the CFO, CEO, Board, and leadership team. The role focuses on translating performance into decisions, challenging assumptions, improving forecast quality, managing investor relationships, and building a scalable, AI-enabled FP&A function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage annual budgeting, long-range planning, rolling forecasts, and reforecast cycles, ensuring clear full-year landing views and disciplined forecast accuracy.
  • Lead monthly performance reviews covering revenue, ARR, gross profit, margins, EBITDA, OPEX, cash flow, headcount, and key operating metrics.
  • Translate results into concise executive insights, identifying changes, their causes, implications, and recommended management actions.
  • Develop driver-based financial models and base/upside/downside scenarios to support strategic and operating decisions.
  • Act as a senior finance partner to Commercial, Product, Technology, Operations, and People teams, challenging assumptions and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Strengthen governance for OPEX, headcount, CAPEX, and strategic investments, establishing clear ownership and accountability.
  • Evaluate pricing, new products, geographic expansion, partnerships, major commercial initiatives, and M&A opportunities through robust business cases and post-investment reviews.
  • Upgrade FP&A systems, reporting, and automation to ensure the function scales with Foodics and reduces reliance on manual processes.
  • Serve as a primary contact for existing and prospective investors, lenders, and other external financial stakeholders.
  • Prepare Board decks, investor updates, quarterly/annual reporting packages, and ad-hoc materials articulating company performance, strategy, and outlook.
  • Manage the capital-raise narrative and supporting materials (data rooms, financial models, KPI packs) in collaboration with the CFO/CEO during fundraising or strategic transactions.
  • Oversee the investor reporting calendar, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent communication of financial and operating results.
  • Track investor sentiment, market trends, comparable company performance, and industry benchmarks relevant to SaaS/fintech/payments.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes with investors, auditors, and advisors, ensuring data integrity and consistency across all external-facing materials.
  • Utilize AI tools like Claude for performance analysis, scenario modeling, business cases, and management commentary.
  • Analyze large financial/operating datasets to identify drivers, anomalies, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Create repeatable AI workflows or agents for recurring FP&A tasks and ad-hoc executive analysis.
  • Integrate AI tools with Excel/Google Sheets, BI tools, SQL, planning systems, and other finance technology.
  • Define the scope for AI automation, areas requiring human judgment, and validation processes for AI outputs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 12-15+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business finance, or strategic finance, with significant leadership responsibility.
  • Mandatory professional qualification: active CMA certification or CFA charter.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of both SaaS and Fintech industries, including recurring-revenue economics, retention, churn, unit economics, payments economics, margins, and key operating drivers of technology-enabled financial services.
  • Demonstrated current and sophisticated use of AI tools like Claude in day-to-day finance work; basic AI exposure is not sufficient.
  • Direct partnership experience with senior executives and experience presenting to Executive Committee/Board/investor audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with BI tools, SQL, planning tools, and finance automation is highly desirable.

Requirements
