About NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC)

NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is developing a green hydrogen-based ammonia production facility in NEOM, Oxagon, Tabuk. This project, a partnership between Air Products, ACWA Power, and NEOM, integrates renewable solar, wind, and storage power to produce green ammonia for global export. Operations are scheduled to commence in 2026.

Role Overview

The Ammonia Operation Shift Supervisor is a key member of the NGHC Operations & Maintenance team, responsible for leading the safe and reliable operation of the Ammonia Production Plants during the assigned shift. This full-time position requires building strong working relationships with maintenance personnel, control room operators, field operators, and plant managers, while ensuring safe operations through effective work permit management and strict compliance with NGHC EH&S standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 15โ€“20 control room operators and field operators.
  • Support all day-to-day plant operations, including troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, and plant efficiency improvements.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to prioritize, schedule, and complete daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance activities.
  • Respond rapidly to planned and unplanned plant trips, and lead troubleshooting initiatives.
  • Develop and update operating procedures as required.
  • Manage operational KPIs to improve plant performance and effectiveness.
  • Lead safety performance initiatives, including reducing recordable injuries, BSP compliance, incident investigation, and reporting.
  • Support commissioning activities with the AP-EPC Commissioning Team.
  • Promote and enforce NGHC safety programs, safety rules, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Lead safety management during plant turnarounds and act as Incident Commander during emergency situations.
  • Ensure compliance with EH&S standards, Management of Change (MOC) requirements, bypass procedures, company standards, and statutory regulations.
  • Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and plant start-up activities.
  • Identify, communicate, implement, and maintain operational best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all training requirements, procedures, specifications, and applicable regulations.

Leadership and Team Development

The Supervisor is expected to create a positive working environment and actively develop operators. This includes mentoring operators and maintenance technicians, promoting NGHCโ€™s safety culture, and fostering employee involvement, teamwork, integrity, and diversity across the operations team. The role also involves supporting continuous development and knowledge sharing within the operations function.

Required Experience

Candidates for this full-time position must possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in an operational role within an industrial plant environment.

Work Location

This full-time position is based in Oxagon, Tabuk, within the NEOM region.
