About ALPLA Group and the Role

ALPLA Group is seeking a dedicated Shift Supervisor to lead production operations in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial for ensuring daily production targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met, while upholding stringent quality standards and operational efficiency. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for managing production processes, overseeing quality control, and leading their team effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead shift production operations to meet daily targets and KPIs.
• Handle mold/tool changeovers, mechanical adjustments, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in direct coordination with the QC team.
• Manage shift inventory, raw material consumption, waste control, and follow up on quality complaints/Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Oversee clean shift handovers, report production figures, and escalate any operational deviations or equipment issues to the Production Manager.
• Schedule manpower, allocate shift resources, and ensure team adherence to company policies and training plans.
• Address shift concerns and review employee issues with management.
• Maintain strict health, safety, and SOP compliance across the shift.
• Implement and enforce 5S standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School Diploma or a 2-year technical degree.
• At least three years of hands-on experience in blow or injection molding, including setups, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
• Experience in people management.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Knowledge of plastics injection molding equipment, processes, and control systems.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Operating System and MS Office.
• Good communication skills and the ability to communicate in English.
• Ability to bend and stand in difficult positions for up to 12 hours.
• High level of energy.
