Role Overview

The Contracts Manager operates as an experienced professional, demonstrating a full understanding of their area of specialization. This contract position involves working on problems of diverse scope, typically receiving general instructions for new assignments and limited instruction on routine tasks. The role is integral to supporting project lifecycles from advisory and planning to program and construction management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct surveys to ascertain the locations of natural features and human-made structures on the earth's surface, underground, and underwater, utilizing electronic distance-measuring equipment and other surveying instruments.
  • Operate and manage land-information computer systems, performing tasks such as data storage, inquiry generation, and producing plots and reports.
  • Review information from survey teams regarding the measurement of distances, directions, angles between points, and elevation of points, lines, and contours on, above, and below the earth’s surface.
  • Research legal records, identify evidence of previous boundaries, and analyze data to determine the precise location of boundary lines.
  • Record the results of surveys, verify the accuracy of collected data, and prepare plots, maps, and comprehensive reports.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • An experienced professional with a full understanding of the area of specialization.
  • 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
