  • Obtain and track validated PSS/E, PSCAD, DIgSILENT, and RTDS models, ensuring consistency across models and site-installed systems.
  • Lead Real-Time Digital Simulation compliance activities and model benchmarking, including hardware-in-the-loop and controller testing.
  • Ensure compliance of active power control, voltage control, Fast Generation Shedding, Fast Load Shedding, protection schemes, and plant controller functions.

Risk Management and Operational Support

  • Identify and manage risks associated with grid connection approvals, study completion delays, harmonics, model readiness, OEM performance, protection coordination, and regulatory compliance.
  • Establish mitigation plans, escalate unresolved risks with clear impact statements, and maintain a Grid Compliance Risk Register and action tracker.
  • Support energization and commissioning strategy from a grid compliance perspective.
  • Review switching philosophies, operating procedures, and grid-code demonstration requirements.
  • Support first energization, first synchronization, performance testing, and operational demonstrations, participating in start-up readiness reviews and operational handover activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Grid Compliance Manager position should possess 5-10 years of experience in a related field. The role requires a strong technical background in grid code compliance, power system studies (dynamic and static), power quality, and real-time digital simulation. Demonstrated experience in coordinating with utilities, regulators, OEMs, and contractors is essential, along with proven abilities in risk management and supporting commissioning activities for complex industrial projects.
