About Alghad College for Applied Medical Sciences

Alghad College for Applied Medical Sciences is a leading private educational institution in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Established to address the growing demand for qualified national competencies in the health sector, the college operates branches in eight major regions and cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Dammam, Tabuk, Buraidah, Najran, and Abha. The Opportunity: Librarian Saudi Talent

Alghad College for Applied Medical Sciences is seeking a dedicated and qualified Librarian Saudi Talent to join its team in Tabūk, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time administrative role with a one-year contract, requiring a commitment of 48 hours per week. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the college's library resources and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Activate the use of Saudi Digital Library databases.
  • Propose amendments to guidelines governing library administration, including the Library Policies Manual and Library Usage Manual.
  • Identify the college's needs for references, books, periodicals, publications, and other learning resources in coordination with academic departments.
  • Manage library systems, such as cataloging, and ensure their continuous update.
  • Archive audio, visual, readable, and other multimedia learning resources, and organize their storage within the library.
  • Prepare and circulate a monthly bulletin of various references and their updates to the college.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary equipment for the protection of library contents.
  • Organize internal and external borrowing operations.
  • Coordinate with academic departments to identify new references and knowledge/learning resources for addition to the library.
  • Conduct training workshops for faculty members and students to introduce library components and how to utilize them effectively.
  • Survey the opinions of students, faculty members, and equivalent personnel regarding the quality of services provided by the library.
  • Propose library activities that can be digitized.

Qualifications and Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Libraries, Information Science, or Libraries and Information.
  • A cumulative GPA of "Good" or higher in the Bachelor's degree.
  • All university qualifications must be obtained through full-time study.
  • For graduates of non-Saudi universities, an equivalency certificate from the Ministry of Education is required.

Experience and Selection Process

  • A minimum of two years of experience in the field of specialization is required.
  • Candidates must successfully pass a scientific test and a personal interview.
