About the Mechanical Engineer Role
Parsons Corporation is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a professional with a strong background in the design, installation, and commissioning of critical mechanical systems. The role involves working within a dynamic desert environment and contributing to world-class engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for a range of technical duties, including:
- Reviewing and approving complex engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications for piping networks, HVAC/ducting systems, and pumping stations.
- Providing on-site technical expertise to ensure mechanical installations comply with project design, international codes (*, ASME, ASHRAE), and client standards.
- Conducting technical evaluations of procurement bids for pumps, valves, piping materials, and HVAC equipment.
- Witnessing and certifying pressure testing for piping, balancing for ducting systems, and performance testing for pumps and hydraulic systems.
- Collaborating with civil, electrical, and structural engineering teams to resolve design conflicts and minimize field delays.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 7 years of direct experience in mechanical engineering, with a significant focus on piping, ducting, and pump systems.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Strong working knowledge of fluid mechanics, pump hydraulics, piping stress analysis, and duct static pressure calculations.
- Proficiency with relevant engineering software such as Caesar II, Pipenet, or AutoCAD/Revit is highly desirable.
- Fluent English communication skills, including strong technical writing abilities.
Location and Project Context
This is a full-time position based in the Tabuk region of Saudi Arabia. Candidates must be willing to relocate and work in this location. Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or mega-projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, such as NEOM or Red Sea projects, is highly preferred. The role requires the ability to interface directly with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Professional Development
