The latest practical experience must have been gained no earlier than one year prior to taking up the position with the RSAF.
Essential Training and Knowledge
Successful graduation from military EOD courses is a prerequisite. This training should encompass areas such as base recovery after attack, foreign ordnance, chemical and improvised explosive devices, and render safe and disposal procedures. The instructor must possess a thorough knowledge of weapons and munitions within the RSAF inventory relevant to the assigned UMD position. Additionally, the candidate must be qualified to conduct On-the-Job (OJT) Training in accordance with RSAFM 105-8 and have successfully completed an Instructional Techniques course.
