The Role of SMU Mechanical Operator

We are seeking an SMU Mechanical Operator to join our team in Taif. This full-time role involves carrying out the mechanical requirements for scheduled maintenance, removal, and inspections on Typhoon aircraft. The operator will also provide support to RSAF Typhoon operations away from the Scheduled Maintenance Unit (SMU).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled mechanical maintenance on RSAF Typhoon aircraft as detailed in relevant inspection documentation.
• Install, repair, maintain, service, overhaul, modify, and test aircraft components and systems.
• Conduct fault diagnosis and recovery of aircraft systems.
• Ensure the quality and completeness of all work performed on aircraft or aircraft components.
• Operate within the guidelines of SMU Quality Systems and RSAF Technical orders.
• Complete SMU forms, appropriate aircraft forms, records, and maintenance documentation.
• Maintain current authorisations for all assigned tasks.
• Report areas of inexperience or training requirements to the immediate supervisor.
• Comply with SMU Quality Systems and RSAF Technical orders and publications.
• Complete all mandated training to ensure validity dates remain current.
• Perform any other reasonable duties or requests from line management.
