About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Group Leader to join their team in Taif. This full-time position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in supply chain operations, particularly within demanding environments such as military operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory optimization to ensure stock levels meet RSAF operational requirements.
  • Oversee item management, ensuring core data elements are accurately created and maintained.
  • Compile initial provisioning, including the creation, editing, and maintenance of Definitization documents, consumption data, and contract IP lists.
  • Ensure repair management maintains required serviceability levels for RSAF operations.
  • Manage priorities and provide daily aircraft status reporting for NMCS and PMCS, interfacing with the Integrated Logistics Operation Cell (ILOC).
  • Report on obsolescence management throughout the supply chain in conjunction with relevant organizations.
  • Conduct demand forecasting and planning for spares and equipment.
  • Ensure the effective and controlled use of Lateral Support to maximize the utilization of surplus RSAF inventory.
  • Provide support for KPI and Milestone reporting.
  • Directly manage and supervise Supply Chain personnel within the Planning activity and deputize for the Supply Chain Contract Team Leader as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education to Degree, Higher National Certificate, or Military equivalent.
  • Relevant qualifications in Logistics or Supply Chain operations certified by a professional training body (civilian or military Skill Level 7).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory position.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing critical spares shortages within an aircraft operational environment.
  • A minimum of 8 years of practical experience in Initial Provisioning, Inventory Management, Procurement, and Storage & Distribution.
  • Demonstrable practical experience in the use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding or experience with ISO9001-2015.
  • Clear understanding of Supply Chain models.
  • Clear understanding of Maintenance Philosophy and Policy Principles.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Access.
  • Knowledge and experience of EASA and FAA regulations.
  • A track record of Supply/Logistics supervisory experience, preferably within a Military operation.
  • Experience in critical parts management, demand management, repairs management, and Supply Chain operations.
  • Experience producing high-quality reporting using Microsoft Office programs.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
  • Knowledge and experience of RSAF Logistics and Supply procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Servogistics, SIMLOX, and OPUS demand forecasting, optimization, and modeling software.
  • Ability to act on own initiative and manage concurrent tasks within the scope of the job.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality.
  • Proven ability to implement continuous improvements.
