Red Sea Global is seeking a Senior Specialist, Transportation and Distribution, to join the Red Sea Coastal Trading Company, a specialized supply chain and logistics subsidiary. This full-time position is based in Umluj, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The subsidiary focuses on powering the seamless delivery of materials, equipment, and services across pioneering developments, operating at the heart of Saudi Arabia’s regenerative tourism projects.

Role Overview

As Senior Specialist - Transportation, this role involves overseeing the movement of goods, optimizing freight costs, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The specialist will provide logistical support to clients and requires advanced knowledge of various transportation modes, including air, ocean, and trucking. The objective is to ensure efficient and timely movement of goods while minimizing costs and maximizing service levels. This includes developing and implementing transportation strategies, building relationships with carriers and vendors, and providing strategic guidance to the organization and its clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the transportation of goods, including scheduling, tracking shipments, and managing carrier relationships.
• Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers to secure competitive pricing and ensure reliable service.
• Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses while maintaining service quality.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, and trade laws.
• Provide guidance and support to clients on transportation logistics, routing options, and regulatory considerations.
• Develop and implement strategic transportation plans to optimize service levels, minimize transit times, and reduce costs.
• Track and analyze transportation KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate transportation-related risks, such as delays, disruptions, and compliance issues.
• Leverage transportation management systems and other technology solutions to streamline operations and enhance visibility.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to transportation teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in transportation and distribution.
• Proven ability to work effectively as a team player.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Experience in leading teams.
• Established connections with vendors in the transportation sector.
