About the Senior Water Sports Instructor Role

This full-time role for a Senior Water Sports Instructor is based in Umluj, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, within Red Sea Global's subsidiary, Red Sea Sports & Entertainment (RSSE). The position is central to WAMA, RSSE's premier watersports entity, focusing on leading on-water activities and ensuring exceptional guest experiences across various water-based disciplines. The role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong instructional background and leadership capabilities.

Our Watersports Environment: WAMA

Red Sea Global (RSG) is developing The Red Sea destination, with RSSE delivering land and marine experiences. WAMA, the watersports arm, provides aquatic and sporting experiences along the Kingdom’s Red Sea coastline, leveraging pristine waters and year-round sunshine. WAMA aims to be a Center of Excellence, offering certified courses, training, and recreational activities for guests to enjoy first experiences, refine skills, or pursue professional careers as athletes, instructors, or technicians. RSSE also partners with the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee to create inclusive sports and recreation experiences, aligning with Vision 2030 and regenerative tourism principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise instructors and team members across all watersports activities, including windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), kayaking, and foiling (Wing and E-Foil).
• Oversee daily on-water operations, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and operational standards.
• Deliver engaging, safe, and educational sessions for guests of all skill levels.
• Provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback to instructional staff.
• Support the Watersports Centre Manager in achieving operational goals and delivering guest satisfaction.
• Ensure all activities align with WAMA’s service excellence and environmental sustainability standards.
• Deliver world-class guest interactions and manage customer feedback effectively to ensure continuous service improvement.
• Represent WAMA as a brand ambassador, promoting organizational values and commitment to marine conservation.
• Implement and enforce Health & Safety (H&S) procedures and standard operating practices, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
• Follow functional policies, standard operating procedures, and reporting guidelines, assisting in preparing timely and accurate operational and safety reports.
• Identify and implement improvements in operations, instruction quality, and customer service based on international best practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience instructing a variety of watersports, with Middle East experience preferred.
• RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor (or equivalent qualification).
• Certified Paddle Sports or SUP Instructor.
• Minimum RYA Powerboat Level 2 certification.
• Proven team leadership experience within a watersports or hospitality setting.
• Experience in designing and leading youth and adult watersports programs.
