About the Role

Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF) Ltd. is seeking an Engineer Inspection to join their team in Al Madinah, specifically in Yanbu or Medina. This full-time role focuses on providing accurate and timely engineering solutions to meet refinery needs, responding to operational abnormalities, and offering essential engineering support in compliance with YASREF's strategic priorities including profit, safety, reliability, and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions to maintain plant assets throughout their lifecycle and offer technical support to OME teams during maintenance, shutdowns, or for resolving technical issues.
• Conduct evaluations and prepare design modifications approved by the change management system or project management team, including design packages for in-house modifications and MOCs, along with supporting design calculations.
• Perform frequent plant visits to discuss operational issues with OME teams, aiming to resolve, upgrade, maintain, and improve equipment performance.
• Participate in troubleshooting meetings for equipment and system failures, and process abnormalities, discussing issues with technicians, engineers, reliability engineers, and operations shifts.
• Conduct research on equipment, processes, and systems to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, regularly evaluating work and outcomes for improvement.
• Investigate equipment and system failures to identify root causes and provide recommendations to prevent future incidents, participating in Root Cause Analysis and providing feedback to seniors.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, document lessons learned, identify emerging technologies, and engage in professional development.
• Participate in Plant Acceptance Tests, validate modifications, assess and manage risks associated with plant assets, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Contribute to the development and update of engineering standards, procedures, and objectives.
• Support Operation and Maintenance during planned, emergency shutdowns, or disasters by providing technical assistance and evaluating failure and incident reports for engineering recommendations.
• Contribute to the preparation of engineering designs, studies, documents, calculations, technical bulletins, work instructions, and guidelines.
• Conduct engineering studies, including standards review, to improve plant integrity and reduce costs.
• Provide technical support to enhance asset maintenance strategies, such as maintenance strategy planning and capital spare strategy, and contribute to updating preventive/predictive maintenance task lists.
• Evaluate engineering proposals to ensure compliance with YASREF standards and achievement of business priorities (HSE, reliability, profitability, and continuous improvement).
• Adhere to relevant safety and environmental policies as per YASREF Standards and participate in HSE activities.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct Supervisor.

Internal Communication

The Engineer Inspection will report and refer to the hierarchy on a regular basis, implement pertinent policies, exchange information, discuss relevant KPIs/performance parameters, and provide services to other internal organizations.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required for this role.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Madinah, with work locations in Yanbu or Medina. The role involves ensuring the refinery's engineering needs are met efficiently and effectively.
