About the Project Manager Role

Almajdouie Holding is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee projects within a single site in Yanbu. This full-time role requires a strategic leader capable of managing diverse teams, ensuring operational excellence, and serving as the primary liaison with client management. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of relevant experience and a strong background in project planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.

Core Responsibilities

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management of projects within a designated site, including the coordination of team and sub-team activities. Key duties involve developing comprehensive work plans, managing deadlines, estimating skill requirements, and defining project deliverables, milestones, and scope. This role also entails communicating project status and vision to client management and acting as the final decision-maker on common interests such as HR execution across different business units.

Operational Oversight and Management

This position requires overseeing various business units within a project to ensure smooth operations and the successful functioning of sub-projects. Responsibilities include ensuring supply chain projects meet customer requirements and adhere to all MDR standards for operations and SSHEQ. The Project Manager will analyze daily activities, manage data, analyze performance, and develop recommendations to support logistics development and maintain cost models. A key aspect is ensuring all customer orders are on track and meet their estimated time of arrival (ETA).

Stakeholder Relations and Compliance

Maintaining and developing strong relationships with customers, marketers, shipping lines, customs agents, and brokers is crucial for ensuring client satisfaction. The Project Manager will also manage high-level communications, handle customer complaints and incidents, and conduct root cause analysis. Ensuring the implementation of SSHEQ standards as per MDR & Customer manuals to achieve zero loss time injury is a primary objective. Furthermore, the role involves ensuring all project team members understand the project scope, their roles, and desired outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the management of a petrochemical Supply Chain Area.
  • Extensive management and leadership experience.
  • Proven skills in Project Planning & Management.
  • Proficiency in Budget & Risk Management.
  • Strong Managerial Communications (written & verbal) and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to handle multi-tasks and competing priorities.
  • Effective Time Management.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.

Team Development and Performance

The Project Manager will be responsible for conducting and managing employee performance evaluations and observing daily performance to ensure optimal contribution. Promoting and motivating the development of the operations team's performance through training needs assessment and proposing suitable training programs is essential. This includes identifying training needs of subordinates and participating in providing training. The role also encourages team participation in programs like SPARK to enhance operations and requires updating job knowledge through educational opportunities. Demonstrating safety leadership by acting as a role model for Behavioral Based Safety and possessing practical knowledge of operational instructions and procedures is also a key expectation.
