About the Senior Logistics Project Manager Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Logistics Project Manager to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role is central to managing all logistics-related activities for the SEC 2 Bulk Program, encompassing inbound, outbound, V2V, repairs, and warranty processes. The successful candidate will ensure that all logistics operations meet business and contract requirements, with a particular focus on projects of high complexity and DDP incoterms. This position holds accountability for the entire logistics scope, from the supply chain through to the DDP delivery location, and involves reporting on key operational and financial KPIs such as deflation, EAC, $/kg, demerges, and premium charges. The role also includes managing all logistics matters with customers and EPCs, including claims and insurance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary interface with customers, forwarders, and GEV teams for developing and managing logistics plans for projects within the SEC 2 Bulk Program, participating in all related internal and external meetings.
  • Develop consolidation plans, establish traceability strategies, and execute shipping transactions.
  • Act as the technical, logistics, and operational interface between the customer, Internal Project Managers, Project Managers, and global logistics coordinators.
  • Supervise and control project and fulfillment-related milestones, including scopes, timelines, expenses, and risks, in coordination with the SEC 2 Logistics function in France.
  • Identify, log, and track risks and opportunities, providing regular reports to Project Managers.
  • Verify and ensure all import documentation issued by suppliers/factories is accurate, complete, and compliant with importing regulatory standards, in coordination with customs specialists.
  • Cooperate with the customs team and other internal/external stakeholders to ensure on-time customs clearance and delivery to site, actively avoiding additional costs such as penalties, storage, and demurrages.
  • Adhere to existing logistics best practices of GEV in Saudi Arabia.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for internal and external customers requiring logistics solutions.
  • Support all documentation and organize local performance across Saudi Arabia’s 14 projects.
  • Issue and update the Master Packing List for the customer.
  • Continuously update and maintain all logistics-related tools utilized by Power Conversion.
  • Resolve all logistics-related defects, managing RCAs and NCRs.
  • Coordinate with Sourcing and Supply Chain to ensure all delivery and shipment release requirements are met.
  • Ensure corrective actions and containment plans are in place to prevent incident repeatability.
  • Engage with the finance team to ensure prompt processing of customs duties.
  • Ensure all logistics transactions are executed in accordance with GEV and Country Compliance regulations.
  • Actively pursue cost avoidance practices during the logistics execution phase.
  • Comply with GEV EHS life-saving rules and STOP WORK culture.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in logistics project management.
  • Applicants must possess the legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restrictions.

Desired Skills and Attributes

  • Prior experience with DDP incoterms is preferred.
  • Work experience in international trading.
  • Six Sigma training.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (preferably SAP, ORACLE).
  • Mentoring or training abilities.
  • Self-disciplined and capable of defining functional objectives in alignment with contract objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to manage changing priorities effectively.

Work Location and Conditions

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern Region. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this role.
