Quality Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team in Yanbu, AL Medina AL Munawwarah. This full-time role involves ensuring product quality through rigorous testing and adherence to established standards. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and inspect product samples from various stages of the manufacturing process, including work-in-progress and finished goods.
• Prepare and test polymer, fiber, and geosynthetic samples according to approved procedures.
• Perform physical, mechanical, thermal, and rheological laboratory tests.
• Conduct testing in accordance with ASTM, ISO, and customer requirements.
• Accurately record test results and maintain laboratory records and equipment logs.
• Ensure sample identification, traceability, storage, and proper handling.
• Verify equipment calibration status before use and report any malfunction.
• Immediately report abnormal or out-of-specification test results.
• Identify sources of defects, develop recommendations for mitigation, and update quality policies and procedures accordingly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Comply with ISO/IEC 17025, Quality Management System, and HSE requirements.
• Maintain technical expertise and update knowledge on industry trends and government regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Polymer Technology, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of previous laboratory experience in polymer, plastics, fiber, geotextile, geosynthetic, or related materials is preferred.
• Familiarity with ASTM and ISO laboratory test methods is an advantage.
• Good working proficiency in English; Arabic is preferred.
• Basic to good knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
• SAP knowledge is an advantage.

Work Environment

This role is based in Yanbu, AL Medina AL Munawwarah, and operates on a full-time schedule within a manufacturing infrastructure processing company. The position requires hands-on laboratory work and adherence to strict quality and safety protocols.
