About the Role

The Toyota Technician at Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) in Yanbu, KSA, is a full-time position focused on delivering high-quality mechanical repair services. This role is crucial for achieving customer satisfaction and contributing to gross service sales targets within the service center. The technician operates in strict adherence to the company's mission, vision, values, and established standard operating procedures, directly impacting sold working hours and overall customer satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical repair services and related tasks, ensuring work is completed accurately ("Fix it Right") and efficiently from the first attempt.
  • Achieve standard sold hours against attending hours, maintaining productivity targets.
  • Execute repairs with the required quality, following Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) standards and utilizing correct tools and equipment.
  • Conduct preliminary vehicle inspections and evaluations under the supervision of the Service Chief Technician to assess damage and repair scope.
  • Participate in resolving high-technical problems with Team Leaders (Workshop Production Manager/Chief Technician) through testing and examination.
  • Execute center after-sales responsibilities, including vehicle repairs and periodic maintenance, in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workplace by consistently applying the 5S concept (Sorting, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
  • Coordinate with the Job Controller to input correct operational data, record repairs carried out, and update vehicle delivery statuses for productivity analysis.

Operational Standards and Compliance

This role requires strict implementation of Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to service operations. The job holder must ensure full compliance with all service operation policies and possess a thorough understanding of Mechanical Kodawari principles.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School or Equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a service environment.
  • Certifications: Toyota Technician / G4 certification.

Team Collaboration and Development

The Toyota Technician actively collaborates with center service teams, Team Leaders, and the Job Controller. This includes receiving and understanding technical information, service bulletins, and daily functional updates through regular meetings to enhance technical skills and ensure smooth after-sales business operations. The role also involves supporting center after-sales marketing campaigns and promoting Kaizen activities.

Impact and Contribution

This position directly impacts the center's sold working hours and overall customer satisfaction by ensuring timely, high-quality repairs and service delivery. The technician's commitment to a Guest-Centric mindset and adherence to service standards contributes significantly to achieving high-quality after-sales activities and meeting pre-determined center operational targets.
