Application Engineer I Saudi National Only

About the Role

Honeywell International Inc. is seeking an Application Engineer I to join its global team. This full-time position is open to Saudi Nationals only and requires 0-1 years of experience. The role involves working within a project environment, from the study phase through design, implementation, documentation, delivery, and maintenance of Digital Integration solutions, primarily in the Middle East Region.

Role Context and Objectives

The Application Engineer I will contribute to optimizing project productivity and quality by driving and maintaining standardization. This position also includes supporting sales activities through presentations, demonstrations, and participation in Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives. Digital Integration solutions encompass various skills, including APM, UI/UX, equipment maintenance, and data science techniques, and the candidate is expected to work across some or all of these areas. The role applies software technologies to achieve Asset Performance Management (APM), Operations Management, and other Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) solutions across industries such as Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemical, and Minerals, following initial training. Solutions may be deployed on-premise or in the Cloud. This is a direct staff position with an average billability of >= 90% to external customer projects, intercompany customer projects, and customer support services.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to technical discussions related to asset performance, digital integrations, and data-driven models.
• Collaborate with lead or senior engineers on project design and delivery, and independently deliver assigned work with minimal supervision.
• Conduct product demonstrations and proof of concepts.
• Support the development of conceptual, user requirement, functional, and detailed technical design specifications, providing expertise for digital integration applications.
• Establish acceptance of designs with customer stakeholders, translating the impact of process and system changes to the bottom line and articulating benefits and value to the customer.
• Ensure appropriate test scripts, test data, test logs, and defect logs are in place for quality delivery.
• Participate in and facilitate critical project activities, ensuring customer buy-in and acceptance.
• Support change management within customer organizations through business process diagrams, training, best practice documentation, and conducting training sessions.
• Share technical knowledge with project teams, supervisors, and across disciplines.
• Communicate technical issues to the internal team, escalating them early in the project lifecycle.
• Provide pre-sales support to proposal teams.
• Showcase and define Honeywell’s solutions to potential customers.

Reporting Structure

The Application Engineer I will have a direct reporting line to the Engineering Manager for Digital Integration.

Travel Requirements

This position requires approximately 30% travel, primarily within Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East region.
