About the Role
The Ritz-Carlton is seeking an Assistant Manager Talent Acquisition to support the daily operations of the Human Resources office. This full-time role involves assisting with recruitment, total compensation, and training and development initiatives. The Assistant Manager will contribute to delivering HR services that meet employee needs and support business success, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the interviewing and hiring processes for Human Resources team members.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of relationships with external recruitment sources.
- Participate in job fairs and document outreach efforts in accordance with HR Standard Operating Procedures.
- Network with local organizations to source candidates for current or future openings.
- Monitor and perform quality control on candidate identification and selection processes.
- Collaborate with unemployment services providers to respond to claims and review reports for accuracy.
- Assist with departmental orientation programs and ensure employees receive appropriate new hire training.
- Facilitate cross-training to support daily operations and coordinate new hire orientation to emphasize guest service.
- Maintain effective employee communication channels and review progressive discipline documentation for accuracy.
- Address employee problems or concerns in a timely manner and refer issues to appropriate management.
- Partner with Loss Prevention for employee accident investigations as needed.
- Ensure employee files contain required paperwork, proper performance management, and compensation documentation, maintained securely.
- Assist with compliance regarding access, review, and auditing of employee files, including the Privacy Act.
- Ensure medical records are maintained separately, securely, and confidentially.
- Facilitate drug testing processes where applicable and communicate property rules and regulations via the employee handbook.
- Assist with communicating safety and security policies regularly to employees.
- Support periodic claims reviews with the Regional Claims office and manage Workers' Compensation claims.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to assist in managing recruitment and hiring processes.
- Experience in administering and educating employees on benefits.
- Capability to assist in managing employee development and relations.
- Understanding of legal and compliance practices within Human Resources.
