About the Role

SEGULA Technologies is seeking experienced Automotive IVI & Connected Vehicle Systems Specialists to support a major next-generation electric vehicle development program. This full-time, remote position involves collaborating closely with customer engineering teams on advanced infotainment, connectivity, software architecture, and diagnostics topics. The role is suited for engineers with 5-10 years of experience in automotive embedded systems, infotainment platforms, and connected vehicle technologies.

Technical Focus Areas

We are seeking specialists with strong experience in one or more of the following technical areas:

  • Augmented Virtuality Navigation: Design, development, and integration of advanced navigation solutions using augmented reality and virtualized visualization technologies.
  • Audio, Voice Assistant & ECNR / Noise Cancellation: Development and integration of automotive audio and voice assistant systems, optimizing in-cabin voice capture and acoustic performance.
  • Variant Coding: Design and implementation of automotive variant coding and configuration management solutions across multiple vehicle variants.
  • OTA / SOVD Logging, Diagnostics & Debugging: Support for Over-the-Air (OTA) software update architectures and Service-Oriented Vehicle Diagnostics (SOVD) concepts.
  • Functional Safety & Safety-Related Technical Discussions: Participation in system and software safety-related engineering discussions, with experience in ISO 26262 highly desirable.
  • 3D / HMI Deployment & Resource Management: Deployment and integration of advanced 3D graphics and HMI applications, optimizing performance and resource utilization.
  • QNX / Hypervisor System-Level Design: Design and support of system-level architectures based on QNX and hypervisor technologies, defining partitioning strategies for multi-OS platforms.
  • Resource Allocation & Optimization: Analysis and optimization of CPU, GPU, memory, storage, bandwidth, and system resources across embedded platforms.
  • IPC Design: Defining and implementing Inter-Process Communication (IPC) mechanisms for distributed and multi-domain automotive platforms, with experience in technologies like SOME/IP, DDS, or gRPC.
  • CP / AP Communication Design: Designing communication mechanisms between Classic Platform (CP) and Adaptive Platform (AP) environments, with AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive experience.

Key Responsibilities

Specialists will undertake responsibilities including:

  • Collaborating closely with customer engineering teams on advanced infotainment, connectivity, software architecture, and HMI topics.
  • Supporting system architecture, performance optimization, integration, and validation activities.
  • Analyzing and resolving variant coding, configuration, and system-level integration issues.
  • Developing and analyzing logging, tracing, monitoring, and debugging mechanisms.
  • Participating in safety analysis, requirements definition, architecture reviews, and technical risk assessments.
  • Troubleshooting complex system-level performance and integration constraints across distributed automotive software platforms.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this role should meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong professional experience (5-10 years) in automotive embedded software, infotainment, connected vehicle systems, digital cockpit, or vehicle software architecture.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the technical areas listed above.
  • Strong understanding of embedded operating systems and automotive computing platforms.
  • Experience with system integration, troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively within distributed and international engineering teams.

Work Model and Project Context

This is a full-time project assignment for a next-generation automotive / electric vehicle development program. The role operates on an off-site / remote model, allowing candidates to work from their respective countries. The project requires an urgent start.
