Role Summary

The BMS & GRMS Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of all AV, projection, lighting, and conferencing equipment and systems. This full-time role involves ensuring equipment functionality, maintaining operational standards, and supporting guests with AV needs. The technician will uphold The Ritz-Carlton's "Gold Standards" in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV, projection, lighting, and conferencing equipment, devices, and systems.
• Oversee the setup of AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms.
• Ensure all AV equipment is fully operational; repair or clean equipment as necessary.
• Label broken equipment and report issues to management.
• Secure and organize loose wires and cables.
• Verify delivered equipment and room setup against Banquet Event Orders and communicate discrepancies.
• Assist guests with proper usage and operation of AV equipment and monitor equipment during events.
• Break down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use.
• Adhere to Marriott Visual Productions (MVP program) SOP book.
• Follow all company safety and security policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a professional appearance and protect company assets.
• Interact with guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals and comply with quality assurance standards.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or * equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: Not required.
• License or Certification: None specified.
