The Role: Business Development Manager (Higher Education)

Communiqate AI is expanding its operations into Saudi Arabia and is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to establish and cultivate relationships with universities and higher education institutions across the Kingdom. This is an independent contractor opportunity focused on building trust with university stakeholders and managing the sales process from initial contact to agreement closure. The role requires a professional with strong relationship-building skills and a solid understanding of Saudi Arabia's higher education landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with universities and higher education institutions throughout Saudi Arabia.
• Identify partnership opportunities within various university departments, including Career Services, Student Affairs, Employability, Academic Affairs, and Corporate Relations.
• Arrange and lead meetings with university leadership and key decision-makers.
• Present and demonstrate the Communiqate AI platform, guiding discussions towards signed agreements.
• Generate new opportunities through an existing professional network and proactive business development activities.
• Maintain an organized pipeline of prospective university partners.
• Coordinate with the leadership team regarding commercial terms and contracting processes.

Candidate Requirements

• Essential:
  • Fluent in both Arabic and English (spoken and written).
  • Currently based in Saudi Arabia.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Enterprise Sales, Higher Education, EdTech, HRTech, SaaS, or Workforce Development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence in engaging senior stakeholders and university leadership.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Possession of own laptop/computer, smartphone, and a reliable internet connection.
  • Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia as required.
• Preferred:
  • Existing relationships within Saudi Arabia's higher education sector.
  • Experience working with universities, government education initiatives, or workforce development organizations.
  • Experience introducing technology, consulting services, or enterprise solutions to higher education institutions.

Compensation and Support

This is a performance-based independent contractor role offering a 15% commission on every contract originated and successfully closed. Commission is payable upon the institution's completion of its first payment. Typical commission per successful university contract is expected to exceed SAR 18,000, depending on contract value, with no earning cap or limit. Communiqate AI provides comprehensive support, including commercial and pricing assistance for proposals, contract negotiation and documentation, and customer onboarding and implementation. Access to the leadership team for deal support is available whenever required.

Work Arrangement

This is a contract position for an independent professional based in Saudi Arabia. The role requires the ability to work autonomously and manage a pipeline of prospective partners across the Kingdom, with travel as needed to engage with university stakeholders.
