Crisis and Emergency Management Specialist

About the Role

flyadeal is seeking a Crisis and Emergency Management Specialist to support the planning, coordination, and execution of crisis and emergency response activities across the organization. This full-time role involves assisting in the implementation of the Crisis Management and Emergency Response Plan, Business Continuity, and Health & Safety initiatives. The specialist will coordinate drills, support business continuity planning, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and enhance overall response capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of crisis management and emergency response procedures in coordination with the Crisis & Emergency Management Manager.
• Participate in planning and executing emergency drills and exercises, ensuring documentation of outcomes and follow-up on lessons learned.
• Support the preparation and revision of emergency response manuals, checklists, contact lists, and coordination protocols.
• Help coordinate with internal departments (flight operations, cabin crew, ground operations, maintenance, etc.) to ensure alignment in contingency and emergency planning.
• Collect and analyze data from drills and actual events to support after-action reviews, root cause analysis, and safety improvements.
• Maintain readiness of the Crisis Management Center (CMC) and assigned emergency equipment, supplies, and documentation.
• Monitor and support the implementation of health and safety initiatives, including crew wellness programs, hygiene standards, and public health compliance measures.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure business continuity plans are updated, tested, and aligned with organizational standards.
• Support awareness campaigns, training sessions, and workshops related to emergency preparedness and response.
• Liaise with external stakeholders (airport authorities, regulatory bodies, government agencies, and emergency services) during planning and real-time coordination.
• Keep updated with industry best practices, ICAO/IATA requirements, and regulatory updates concerning emergency management and health & safety.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in crisis/emergency and/or health and safety fields.
• 0-1 year of experience is required for this role.
• Crisis and ERP certification.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of GACARs, IATA SARPs, and ICAO SARPs.
• Knowledge of Safety Management Systems.
• Knowledge of Crisis Management/Emergency Response principles.
• Knowledge of Business Continuity planning.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
