The Role: Draftsman Civil

DAR Engineering is seeking a Draftsman Civil to join its drafting team. This full-time role involves performing drafting and detailing works for Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Water, Plants, and Infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform drafting, detailing, and scheduling tasks as instructed by the Lead Engineer and Engineer.
• Assist the project team with project deliverables.
• Ensure the timely production and quality of assigned works.
• Support the project engineer in Bill of Quantity (BOQ) take-off.
• Manage printing and organization of submittals, including required Quality Management System (QMS) documentation.
• Coordinate with office support staff for the completion of submittals.
• Record submittal deliveries for assigned activities.

Support and Assistance

• Provide assistance to management as requested.
• Support Lead Engineers and Engineers in the development of project deliverables.
• Assist the Senior Designer in the development of drafting standards.
• Contribute to day-to-day department operations when necessary.

Quality Assurance and Control

• Adhere to QA/QC drawing standards and facilitate information exchange with other disciplines.
• Review drafting issues and maintain QA/QC records.
• Ensure drafting compliance with project requirements.

Accountability and Professional Conduct

• Ensure operational work aligns with the job description and required deliverables, adhering to company guidelines.
• Plan effectively to meet scheduled delivery timelines.
• Maintain accuracy and timeliness of all outputs.
• Anticipate and resolve potential roadblocks to ensure timely project delivery.
• Contribute tangibly to the area of operation and strive to exceed business expectations.
• Follow established written systems, policies, and procedures.
